PURE Highway
The PURE Highway In-car DAB radio has full DAB Band III reception. Compliant with ETS 300 401 and capable of decoding all DAB transmission modes 1-4 up to and including 256 kbps. Future upgrade supported for DAB. This all makes PURE Highway suitable for the car.
The frequency signal ranges of the PURE Highway are Band III 174-240 MHz with a FM transmission range of 87.6-107.9 MHz.
There is a input connector which is a 5V mini USB DC power adaptor socket (allowing software upgrades) a 3.5 mm aux-in, 2.5 mm aerial connector,on the PURE Highway.
The controls on the Highway DAB allows you to select, tune, lock, go to the menu, pause, play, rewind, quickSCAN, gives four dedicated one-touch presets, and a combined preset facility.
You will find that you are able to remove the PURE Highway in car DAB radio with fm transmitter black from your own car having found your destination and use it as a DAB digital radio for personal use like the walkman in the good old days. The PURE Highway DAB LCD display has a green backlit LCD display with 16 x 2 characters, function icons (volume, battery life, time, signal strength and stereo) and clock.
When in-car the power supply comes from the car and it operates the PURE Highway DAB 12-24V DC to 5V DC (0.5A) mini USB power adapter. When carrying the Highway DAB around with you there is a battery power supply of two AA batteries which provides up to 7 hours portable PURE Highway DAB listening but this obviously depends on signal strength.
The dimensions in mm are 122 mm wide, 70 mm tall, and 29 mm deep with a weight of 156 grams.
The PURE Highway DAB aerial is a High-sensitivity adhesive windscreen mount aerial for in-car, and the headphones will act as an aerial when connected in digital radio handheld mode. The nice thing is you supply your own headphones, which uses the 3.5 mm stereo output.
The PURE Highway DAB device picks up the DAB signal via a strip aerial that needs to be attached to your screen of your car and preferable the front one - at least that way you will be able to reach it from the front seat. Whilst remaining on sat-nav or satellite navigation, you will see you can unhitch the device when you find a parking space.
